The Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex and the Bukit Kiara Sports Complex have been managed by Perbadanan Stadium Merdeka (PSM) since 1st July 1998. These two complexes comprised seven venues and three recreational parks and were used extensively for the XVI Commonwealth Games. PSM is a Federal Statutory Body and was formed under the Stadium Merdeka Corporation Act 1963 (Amendment 1987), following Section 10 (3) and 11 (2) of the Stadium Merdeka Corporation Act 1963 (Amendment 1987). It is under the jurisdiction of the Youth and Sports Ministry.
The objectives of PSM are as follows:
PSM believed that the implemented Quality Management System will generate manpower that is more committed in providing services towards continual customer satisfaction. The Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex and the Bukit Kiara Sports Complex are PSM's ways to achieve these objectives and to make Malaysia the center for organizing sports and non-sports activities, entertainment, recreational and both commercial and non-commercial events. |
